Research Projects
What we do
BLOC can be used by researchers across QMUL in multiple ways for research projects including:
- Hosting internal QMUL forums focused on kick-starting research bids and scoping activity

A technically supported laboratory focusing on moving image, live performance and sound within an immersive and networked lab environment, costed in QMUL research bids to external funders
- A laboratory resource available to external universities and research-based organisations outside of QMUL
- In-kind support for research projects involving funders that do not cover overheads
- Research project legacy work and impact generation, for example recording podcasts and hosting events
- Hosting events for research centres, clusters and post-graduate researchers
- Production services and technical expertise, for example in delivering materials for dissemination (such as DCP authoring; live streaming facilities; Dolby atmos rendering; multiscreen exhiibition)
