Empire House has been designed to support collaboration, creativity and innovation, providing a range of modern spaces for meetings, research and informal networking.

The basement is home to DERI's main collaboration hub, featuring a suite of bookable meeting rooms equipped with large display screens and HDMI connectivity. Rooms PB5, PB6 and PB7 are fitted with Yealink Microsoft Teams Room systems, allowing hybrid meetings to be joined directly from the room without the need to connect a laptop.

Meeting rooms can be booked through Microsoft Outlook, where you can view availability and reserve a space. Further information is available on the Room Booking and Access page.

The basement also includes a spacious kitchen, social area and comfortable breakout space for informal meetings and coffee catch-ups, together with secure cycle storage and shower facilities.

The upper floors provide bright, open-plan office space with bookable meeting hubs, kitchens, quiet coffee areas and personal lockers, creating a flexible environment that supports both focused work and interdisciplinary collaboration.
