Booking a Meeting Room
The DERI basement at Empire House has a range of meeting rooms available for staff to book. All rooms are equipped with a display screen, Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity.
Meeting rooms PB5 and PB7 are fitted with Yealink Teams Room systems, allowing you to join Microsoft Teams meetings directly from the room display without connecting your laptop. Instructions here Yealink in DERI basement .pdf [PDF 440KB]

How to book a room
Meeting rooms can be booked through Microsoft Outlook.
- Create a new Outlook meeting invitation.
- Select Location tab and add the room as a location.
- Search for the required room using the following room names:

- [Room] Wht-Empire-PB5
- [Room] Wht-Empire-PB6

Outlook will display room availability, once you send the invite out you will get aconfirmation email from the room's automated calendar.
Regular visitors
If you regularly book meeting rooms or require ongoing access to Empire House, you can request swipe-card access by completing the Access Request Microsoft Form. All requests are reviewed by the DERI team.
One-off visitors
Swipe-card access is not provided for one-off meetings. Visitors should arrange to meet their host, who must be available to provide access to the building.
The main entrance to Empire House is fitted with a video intercom, and each floor has an internal entry handset that enables staff to admit visitors.
