Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health

The Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health (CPMH) is an internationally recognised hub for research, education and innovation focused on improving mental health across the life course, from early life to older age. Our interdisciplinary research advances understanding of the complex biopsychosocial causes of mental illness and develops effective approaches to prevention, early intervention and treatment. With particular strengths in public mental health, cultural and environmental epidemiology, and trials of complex psychosocial interventions, CPMH works with communities, health systems and global partners to generate data-driven evidence that informs policy, reduces inequalities and improves outcomes for diverse populations.
