Leads: Megan Clinch and Alison Thomson

Deputy: Nia Otake John, Jane RigneyTwo women and a man work together on a public advisory consultation, using sticky notes to make comments on a plan displayed on a wall.

The Public Participation theme leads the development of research-informed, institution-wide approaches to public, patient and community participation across the WIPH. We strengthen the structurespractices and governance that enable meaningful involvement and engagement in research and educationOur work includes widening opportunities for participation, supporting staff and researchers, improving systems for ethics, payment and recognition, and embedding public contributions in decision-making. Grounded in partnership and informed by research, the Theme helps shape how high-quality public participation is developed and sustained across WIPH and QMUL.
