Dr Andrew Harmer

Deputy Director of Education

Andrew Harmer holds a PhD in International Relations with expertise in global health governance, politics and policy. He is a HEA Fellow and  Senior Lecturer in Global Public Health in the Centre for Public Health and Policy. Andrew is the Director of the Centre’s online MSc in Global Public Health. He received his doctorate in 2006 from the University of Southampton, and since then has published widely on a range of global public health issues, including: the World Health Organisation, climate change and health, global health partnerships, health systems strengthening in low and low-middle income countries, and the role of emerging economies in global health. Andrew has taught at various universities in the United Kingdom and globally.
