Profile
I am an Academic GP Advanced Fellow on the joint scheme between QMUL and NEL ICB. I graduated in medicine from Newcastle in 2008. I did the DTM&H and an MSc in Tropical Medicine and International Health at LSHTM in 2010-11, spending time doing research on primary care access in The Gambia. As a GP on the Royal Free VTS I spent my last year partly at QMUL researching HPV vaccinations. My main interests are health inequalities, global health, quality improvement and medical education. I returned to QMUL in 2018-2020 as programme lead for the MSc International Primary Care, having done ad-hoc teaching in-house at QMUL from 2014-2018. I gained a PGCAP in post-graduate education at QMUL in 2022. I have also worked as a Quality Improvement Lead for Islington GP Federation, as a lecturer at Kings College London and as clinical lead for homelessness in Waltham Forest. I have worked as a salaried GP in Islington and Waltham Forest and on the bank at Greenhouse the homeless practice in Hackney.
