Profile

I began my PhD at Queen Mary University of London in 2025, funded by the Trials Methodology Research Partnership (TMRP). My research explores how members of the public think about receiving information and giving consent for clinical trials embedded within routine healthcare. As part of this work, I am organising a one-day, in-person Citizens’ Assembly with East London residents. Citizens’ Assemblies are part of a broader family of participatory and deliberative approaches that aim to meaningfully involve citizens in decision-making through inclusive and innovative methods. My supervisory team includes Dr Clare Relton, Professor Richard Hooper and Dr Stephen Chapman.

I previously completed a First-Class Honours BSc in Psychology at QMUL and a Master’s degree (Distinction) in Health Psychology at UCL.

Outside of academia, I work as a freelance personal trainer.

Research Interests:

My research interests include clinical trials embedded within routine healthcare, such as Decision Architecture Randomised Trials (DARTs) and electronic point-of-care randomisation (ePOCR) trials, with a particular focus on alternative approaches to informed consent. I am especially interested in participatory research and deliberative democracy methods that meaningfully involve communities in research design and decision-making.
