Profile

I am a GP in Redbridge and an Academic GP Advanced Fellow at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health.

I studied Medicine at the University of Southampton, where I also completed a Postgraduate Master’s degree in Diabetes that shaped my early interest in research. My initial work focused on the use of continuous glucose monitoring in children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes experiencing frequent and unpredictable hypoglycaemia. This research was presented at national and international conferences and received the Excellence in Diabetes Award from the University of Southampton.

Following completion of GP specialty training in North East London, I continued my clinical practice locally, where I maintain ongoing involvement in quality improvement initiatives – particularly in the prescribing and monitoring of high-risk medications, and in the prevention and management of long-term conditions in primary care.

Alongside my clinical and academic roles, I am actively involved in medical education. I am currently a clinical supervisor for QMUL medical students in their community-based placements, and I have previously supervised UCL students. I also contributed to the design and delivery of a Massive Open Online Course on insulin safety, aimed at widening access to high-quality diabetes education for healthcare professionals, patients and the wider community.

Through the integration of my clinical practice, research and teaching, I am committed to advancing evidence-based, equitable healthcare and driving meaningful improvements in patient care.
