Profile
I am a salaried GP in Havering and an academic GP advanced fellow for the centre of primary care at QMUL working with the medicines in pregnancy research team.
Before coming to QMUL, I worked as a GP in Lewisham and a salaried portfolio innovation fellow with Kings College London (KCL). I was an educational supervisor and GP tutor for second year medical students, as well as a tutor for clinical humanities and simulation days. I developed course material including a new workshop on digital primary care, alongside standardising and marking assessments. I hold an FHEA and have completed a PgCert in medical education.
I have interests in health inequalities and sexual and reproductive health. I lectured and facilitated speakers for the health inequalities module of the iBSc in primary care at KCL. During GP training, I worked with Lewisham council in public health collating data on COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy amongst ethnic minority communities. I led quality improvement projects on HIV screening in primary care and A&E, and completed a diploma from the faculty of sexual & reproductive healthcare.
Prior to doing medicine, I studied engineering at the University of Cambridge, before working for Engineers Without Borders in rural Peru on quality improvement of water filters.
