Profile
I am an Academic General Practitioner in Newham and a Clinical Academic at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. My work integrates frontline primary care with health data science, focusing on evidence-based practice, population health improvement, and preventative healthcare.
My research interests include disease prevention, early detection of long-term conditions, and the evaluation of interventions that enhance the quality, safety, and equity of primary care. I am committed to ensuring that research findings translate into meaningful improvements in clinical practice.
Alongside my academic role, I practise as a salaried GP in Newham, providing care that directly informs my research priorities and keeps my work grounded in the realities of contemporary general practice.
At Queen Mary, I contribute to research involving the analysis of large healthcare datasets, diagnostic test evaluation, and the development and validation of diagnostic prediction models. I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the university and local health systems to deliver research that is directly relevant to primary care delivery and policy.
