Profile
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Epidemiology in Prof. Seif Shaheen’s team. I have a background in pharmacy (Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Vietnam) and completed my master’s and PhD in public health under Prof. Oh Jin-Kyoung’s supervision at the National Cancer Center Graduate School of Cancer Science and Policy, South Korea.
My research focuses on epidemiology and applied biostatistics. I have participated in three research projects evaluating cancer risks associated with lifestyle factors using population-based cohort data. I find it fascinating to explore how different aspects of lifestyle behaviors influence health outcomes and to provide evidence for effective health interventions. I have also developed a strong interest in applied biostatistics, including trajectory analysis, survival analysis, mediation analysis, and latent variable modeling.
I have recently joined a research project investigating prenatal and childhood exposure to toxic metals and child health using ALSPAC cohort data (UK). This is a great opportunity for me to work with large, high-quality data and to learn from world-leading experts as I progress toward becoming an independent researcher.
My ultimate career goal is to become an epidemiologist dedicated to generating evidence that shapes effective health policies for the prevention of chronic diseases.
