Community Based Medical Education (CBME)

Our GP Tutor Guides at Queen Mary University of London are designed to support and empower clinicians delivering high-quality teaching in community settings.

GP placements place students directly in a primary care setting so they can observe and participate in day‑to‑day general practice. They are designed to help students understand the breadth of conditions seen in the community, develop consultation skills, and appreciate the role of GPs in the NHS. Clinical placements are considered essential for preparing students for practice.

There are opportunities to teach students across MBBS years 1-5 - please see year specific guides in the drop down menu above.
