Professorial Review
Each year, Queen Mary conducts a review of its professoriate. The aims of this process are to review the individual progress and contributions of Professors, with a view to determining areas for future organisational development and to recognise individual achievements.
There are four steps in this review process:
- Each individual professor’s own submission
- Review / commentary by the Head of School / Director of Institute on each submission form and completion of a School / Institute Overview form
- Faculty review
- University wide review by the Senior Executive Team (SET)

Submissions must be sent via email to your Head of School or Institute Director by close of business on Tuesday 5 May 2026.
Each Head of School and Institute Director should complete an Overview form for their School / Institute, in addition to including their commentary on each Professorial Review Submission Form:
